It’s 2004 and I am walking across red burning coals.
No I’m not crazy!
And no my feet didn’t get burned!
I was taught to access a state of ‘mind over matter’ that allowed me to do what appeared physically impossible!
A powerful state where I was vibrating at a higher frequency.
A state where I was no longer stopped by any limiting thoughts within me.
And I was able to walk bare foot over red burning coals and my skin was unharmed.
This was my very first personal development event, held by a man named Kurek Ashley.
It was a completely eye opening, & soul lighting experience.
And I knew in that moment, that my life is my creation.
I knew that anything I could perceive I could achieve.
For those few moments of realisation, all limitations vanished, and I only saw what was possible.
I knew in that moment I wanted to serve humanity.
I want to make a difference in peoples lives.
I want to create a life of freedom and abundance.
I wanted to show others that anything was possible when we believe it is so!
For as long as I can remember I have had the desire to make the world a better place.
That night, after the fire walk I returned home to my boyfriend and told him all about it.
However he wasn’t at all excited about my accomplishment or my vision,and then the self-doubt set in.
Who am I to make a difference?
Do I have what it takes?
I’m not pretty enough, influential enough or extroverted enough.
Yet when I closed my eyes I could see the vision in my minds eye.
The vision was so clear I could feel it.
Then I looked up and saw my favourite quote from the Book “A Return to Love” by Maryanne Williamson on my wall in my bedroom.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ― Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"
I made a decision in that moment that I would be 100% committed to shining my light and lighting the way for others. I knew that I needed to walk the path in order to show others the way.
I committed to doing the work, to grow, to learn, to master mindset and human relationships.
I studied, read, watched, and studied some more. I practiced and embodied everything I was learning so that I could share my wisdom.
At the end of 2012, at 31 I became a mum.
Being a mum was something I’d dreamed about since I was a teenager.
However The real-life experience didn’t quite fit the fantasy I had in my mind.
I didn’t have a village to raise our son.
I had a fragmented, disconnected and judgemental family who provided no support for me as a new mum.
I found myself in the depths of Post-natal depression and anxiety through 2013 and completely lost myself.
After months of feeling low & struggling as a parent, I decided to find a way to make my teenage vision of motherhood a reality.
And I discovered “Conscious Parenting” with Dr Shefali.
She spoke about how “all dysfunction in adult life is a result of unmet emotional needs from childhood”.
I learned that it was possible for me to re-parent myself and heal my childhood so that as a parent I could be emotionally available for my children.
The teachings empowered me as a parent and as a woman.
I became obsessed and started teaching what I was learning to families in my local community.
The results were heart-warming.
I saw family life completely transform for myself and those around me.
And my soul mission grew from there, literally from my lounge-room with two other mums wanting to be the best they could be.
Now I run my own Conscious Parenting Programs and support amazing parents to be their best and call out the best in their kids.
I’ve achieved my dream.
I am living my soul purpose.
I am sitting here now, reflecting back on the clients I’ve worked with in ….
The feedback and reviews from them are so deeply satisfying.
Families are experiencing more love, connection, and flow at home.
Children are going to sleep at night knowing their value here on earth.
Children who know their worth, grow up to be adults who are confident, self-esteemed, emotionally resilient and fulfilled humans.
They have more successful and fulfilling careers and relationships and they have a level of contribution that serves humanity.
My mission is to put an end to childhood depression, anxiety and suicide.
Together with the tools of Conscious Parenting we can change the way our young ones feel about themselves.
This is my WHY.
I have the deepest desire to share my wisdom to serve humanity.
